Former teen star steps out with panda eyes for movie premiere

It’s not that often that we get to see Lark Voorhies out in public. The former “Saved by the Bell” star, who played Lisa Turtle from debut to finish, has barely made a handful of public appearances in recent years but she made an exception the other night for a movie premiere.

The Daily Mail says that Lark attended the “Where We Started” premiere in Hollywood on Friday night, and it’s not the fact that she came out in public that got people’s attention – but rather the huge makeup blunder she made.

As you can see in the pic above, Lark opted for an all-white dress with silver heels, and a simple and chic ‘do, letting her hair down. From the pictures, we can say she looked healthy and happy, but there was something quite off going on on her face.

Lark sported what is known as the “panda eyes” look, where her undereye concealer was just the right shade to look unnatural when the camera flashes went off. She had also applied too much foundation of a different shade, which made her look as if she’d just returned from a vacation tanning with just her sunglasses on. On the sun.

This huge blunder aside (which, in all fairness, was probably not even visible in a regular light, but only in the glare of the paparazzi cameras), Lark seemed much better than she was a couple of years ago, when questions about her mental health started making the rounds.

After a series of very disturbing interviews, which also made some of the fans wonder just how much plastic surgery Lark had gotten, her mother came forward to say that her daughter had severe bipolar disorder and that not even doctors could help her.

“There are things that have traumatized her. I care deeply about my daughter and I want her to resume her life,” she said. The fact that her career had hit a dead-end had also contributed to this, Lark’s mother argued, adding that “She’s trying so hard. She says she’s delayed, but she’s going to get there. She feels whatever challenges he has, she can handle herself.”

To make matters even weirder / more awkward, Lark herself denied her mother’s claims, saying there was nothing wrong with her. She told the media that her mom was usually very protective, which meant she tended to blow everything out of proportion. The only reason she’d acted out of sorts was because she’d been caught “in moments of pray.”
