Savage 2: A Tortured Soul is the sequel to the MMO game that introduced the RTSS (Real Time Strategy Shooter) genre, which means that in a cooperation mode you can either play the RTS or the FPS part of the game. And Savage 2's launch is getting really close, so its developers decided to organize a special pre-launch party on January 12.

The party is actually expected to be so big, that 25 select iGames member centers will host it and the event will be followed by a two-week showcase (between January 14 - 27) at 250 additional iGames centers. An extra bonus awarded for those who will join the party is the option to save the in-game character and, very important - to play the game for free every time they come to an iGames center.

The reason the developers decided for such an ample event is that Savage 2: A Tortured Soul is a team based game and a solid community around it is needed to further enhance the gaming experience. And, of course, it's something to go to, just for the fun of it and the opportunity to play for free this sequel to a great MMO.

"S2 Games (Savage's creators) has taken every effort to make it as easy as possible for gamers worldwide to be able to jump in and play Savage 2," says Mark Nielsen, iGames Executive Director. "iGames encourages every gamer to give this game a try in support of S2's courage in making Savage 2 a game with the community in mind first and foremost?besides the fact that the game is fantastic!"

Savage 2: A Tortured Soul builds upon the gameplay of the original with additional squad-based features and enhanced role-playing game (RPG) elements which enable players to build their character level and abilities throughout the game. Which means that, now, we can call this RTSS a RTSRPS or what? I'm starting to get really confused (but probably the game itself won't be confusing at all). Savage 2 is rated T and comes with a MSRP of $29.99.
