The official website of Syria’s Ministry of Legal Affairs (mola.gov.sy) has been breached and defaced by a Saudi Arabian hacker group calling itself Group Hp-Hack (@GroupHp_Hack).

The hackers have told us that they’re protesting against the Syrian government because they want freedom in Syria.

“Syria will be free. There will come in the future no more war anymore. Peace and love that belongs to Syria,” one of the group’s members stated.

The hacktivists say they will continue to target Syrian government websites and maybe even some high-profile social media accounts. However, they haven’t decided yet which ones they’ll attack.

On the defaced website, the hackers have posted a long statement in Arabic in which they encourage the people of Syria to stand up against the current regime.

At the time of writing, the website was still defaced.
