Satya Nadella, the man in charge with the cloud business at Microsoft, could be the new Microsoft CEO, a new report suggests, explaining that he has the necessary experience to lead the tech giant and is already committed to staying with the company on the long term.

Bloomberg explains that Nadella is already studying products of several startups in the cloud business, as making Microsoft a leader in this particular side of the industry would be one of his big bets in case he is appointed the new CEO.

“It’s still very much a work in progress, but he’s made a lot of improvement in the connection between private cloud and public,” James Staten, an analyst at Forrester Research, was quoted as saying by the source.

At this point, Satya Nadella is competing against Ford’s CEO Alan Mulally, and several other internals, including Stephen Elop, Tony Bates, and Kevin Turner.
