It’s been several months since Canadian carrier SaskTel launched the Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE smartphone on its airwaves.
Although the device was shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system out of the box, Samsung and SaskTel promised an Ice Cream Sandwich update would be available later on.
Well, it appears that the time has come for Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE
owners to upgrade their devices to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich platform.
The guys over at MobileSyrup
report that the upgrade is now live for SaskTel customers. Keep in mind that the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so not all Galaxy S II HD LTE devices will receive it at the same time.
In order to manually check for the update simply go to Menu / Settings / About phone / System software updates / Check now.
In other news, SaskTel has just dropped the Galaxy S II HD LTE’s price from $129.99 CAD to only $29.99 CAD. Obviously, the deal is available with a new three-year agreement. Check it out here
