It looks like regional carrier SaskTel has some troubles obtaining the long-awaited Ice Cream Sandwich update for any of its Android smartphones.

Moreover, the Canadian operator pushed back the release of the update for Samsung Galaxy S II. The new estimated arrival time for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is mid-May, though the carrier previously announced the update would be available by the end of April.

No explanation has been given for the delay, except the following text lines that don’t unveil any additional details:

“We're working to obtain the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) platform for several phones. We expect this update to be available for the Samsung Galaxy S II mid May 2012. For other phones, we don't have an availability date at this time.”

Although we’re not sure when exactly SaskTel will be able to push the Android 4.0 ICS update for Galaxy S II, we will keep you updated with any additional info.
