Regional carrier SaskTel is the second Canadian operator to start selling the HTC One V. The smartphone is now available for free with a new three-year agreement.

Customers who are not willing to commit to a long-term contract can purchase this ICS-powered smartphone for only $269.99 CAD outright.

Although we were expecting SaskTel to launch the One V for around $300 CAD on no-term, it appears that the carrier decided to offer its customers a much better deal.

HTC One V is also available at SaskTel for $169.99 CAD on a two-year term, or for $219.99 CAD with a new one-year agreement.

Even though it comes so cheap, HTC One V offers users the new features of the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system integrated with HTC Sense 4 UI.

In addition, the smartphone packs Beats Audio software and hardware for a much better multimedia experience. Design-wise, the device is the spiritual successor of the HTC Legend, so it comes with the same curved form factor and slim shapes.

HTC One V is equipped with a single core Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor clocked at 1 GHz, which is complemented by an Adreno 205 GPU and 512 MB of RAM.

The smartphone comes with 4GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. There's also a 5-megapixel rear photo snapper that features autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording.

The One V sports a more-than-decent 3.7-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen display, that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16 million colors. The phone is powered by an 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

With a best in class camera that allows you to easily shoot and share, and a design that doubles as both timeless and durable - the HTC One V is the essential smartphone that keeps you effortlessly moving and connected.” - SaskTel.
