Theme of the night was PUNK: From Chaos to Couture and SJP nailed it

Mostly because of her on-screen character on “SATC” and its two spinoff films, the name Sarah Jessica Parker has always been synonymous with high fashion, even though she repeatedly denied she had anything in common with that character.

At last night’s MET Gala 2013, SJP was the perfect embodiment of the theme of the night, which was PUNK: From Chaos to Couture.

She tried really hard to capture the spirit of the event and, I’d say, she managed to do just that.

SJP wore a Giles Deacon dress with a very daring front slit, a Philip Treacy punk couture hat that resembled a Mohawk, Fred Leighton and Repossi jewelry, a Giles Deacon bag, and Louboutin thigh-high boots.

The only thing I didn’t like about Sarah’s outfit was the fact that you could see her undies when she lifted her dress to go up the stairs.

Undies on the red carpet are not my idea of high fashion, as it happens.
