Comedienne Sarah Silverman and British actor Michael Sheen are a couple, celebrity publication Us Weekly confirms. The two went public with their romance earlier this month, but they’ve probably seen each other for longer than that.

The report notes that the first time they stepped out together as a couple was on February 6, at Soho House in West Hollywood, where they barely made an attempt to hide the fact that they were together.

As a rule, celebrities don’t show their face in public together for some time after they start dating, choosing to “go public” only after they have jointly decided that the relationship has a future, that they’re serious about making it work.

According to eyewitness, Sarah and Michael are still in that initial stage when they can’t keep their hands off each other.

“They were making out at Soho House. They were all over each other for a lot of the night,” says one spy.

Us Weekly mentions that the first signs of a romance could actually be seen before that, when Sarah came to Michael’s star-studded birthday party.

“The pair first caused a buzz when Silverman came out to celebrate Sheen's 45th birthday party in West Hollywood. Silverman, 43, and the actor partied at Craig's with other boldfaced names like his costar Lizzy Caplan, Nicole Richie, Kate Hudson, Demi Moore, and Entourage's Jerry Ferrara. Sheen's ex-wife Kate Beckinsale was also in attendance with her husband Len Wiseman,” the report notes.

Sarah and Michael came together by car and, after the party, left together as well. “When they left, Sarah opened her trunk so Michael could put all of his gifts in and then they drove away,” another source says.

Previously to dating Michael Sheen, Silverman dated fellow comedian Jimmy Kimmel. Sheen was in a highly-mediated relationship with Rachel McAdams.
