Feud continues on Twitter, with Palin asking Brits why they won’t keep Piers in the UK

CNN’s Piers Morgan has been involved in a handful of nasty celebrity feuds for years and, by the looks of things, at least the one with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin won’t die down too soon. Palin ripped into Piers for apparently falling for a spoof magazine story.

Over the weekend, Palin took to Facebook to basically tell Piers to leave her alone because she’s too busy living and enjoying her life to pay any attention to anything he has to say.

“Oh dear Piers, thank you so much for all your invitations to appear on your shambolic show, including the adoring message you sent,” Palin wrote. She was obviously being sarcastic because Piers had tweeted “And she’s back!” with a link to a fake story about something completely ridiculous Palin had said.

The story claimed that Palin had said in an interview that Jesus Christ celebrated Easter on Earth before his death.

On his Twitter, Morgan insists that he knew he was linking to a satire website and that the story he seemed to find so hilarious was a spoof but, useless to say, not many believed him.

Palin isn’t buying it either.

“But is it still any wonder why I've politely responded that I'm too busy doing, um, er... pretty much anything to accept the invite? (At least I didn't tell you to ‘get stuffed.’) And to all our British friends: we ask, what did your friends across the pond ever do to you to deserve your Piers?” she asked.

With the post, she included a photo of herself leaning over a bear she hunted down and killed. Scrambled at the bottom of it is the message, “Piers: Kinda busy right now.”

As it happens, Morgan too is “kinda busy right now” to respond: since the GQ 2013 awards, he’s reignited the feud with Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear.
