14 DAY TRIAL // Sarah Michelle Gellar will be playing Robin Williams’ daughter in a pilot for a new workplace comedy over at CBS, called “Crazy Ones,” Coming Soon reports.
Produced by David E. Kelley, the single-camera series is set in the world of advertising and will document the dynamics between father and daughter.
Kelley is also in charge of the script for the pilot. Jason Winer will direct it.
“Gellar will play Sydney Roberts, who is described as ‘intense, driven, organized and burdened with being practical. Sydney is the creative director and life and soul of the Roberts and Roberts Advertising Agency at the center of the comedy. She wants to be her father but is too busy having to parent him’,” Coming Soon writes of the new project.
If the pilot does well, CBS might pick up the series for a full season, if not even more.
