Sarah McLachlan' s BLOOM, her second remix album, will be arriving in stores on September 6th, according to PR Newswire.
Its predecessor, Sarah McLachlan Remixed, released December 2003, peaked at #1 on the Billboard Top Electronic Albums chart.
The new album from the Arista records artist is presented as a fascinating collection of previously unreleased remixed versions of 10 recordings, all but one of which - a collaboration with DMC of Run-DMC (remixed by will.i.am of Black Eyed Peas) - originally appeared on Sarah's earlier studio albums. "Bloom" also includes the song "Vox," dating back to Sarah's debut album, Touch (1989), which was recorded when she was 19 years old. "Vox" is now heard via the Tom Middleton Mix.
The Vancouver-born Sarah McLachlan has recently concluded her 2-month "Afterglow Live 2005" spring tour of Australia, New Zealand, the U.S. and Canada.
She has also performed as part of the North American lineup at "Live 8: The Long Walk To Justice", on July 2nd, and arranged for the production costs of her most recent video, "World On Fire," to benefit 11 charities around the globe. The money (almost $150,000) were to be distributed to Action Aid, CARE USA, Carolina For Kibera, Comic Relief, DORCAS, Engineers Without Borders, Film Aid, Heifer International, Help The Aged, ITDG, and War Child.
