Sarah Jessica Parker was once dubbed by a popular magazine the “least attractive woman in showbiz” but, even as the years go by, she still doesn't take it to heart. If anything, she's now a “realist” about her looks, she says.

In a new interview cited by the Daily Mail, the actress says she still doesn't have time to fret about her looks – let alone about what people saying about her looks – because she has more important stuff to do.

If she were to rank her insecurities by importance, those related to her looks would probably come last, she says.

“I try to dress appropriately for my age and I’m a realist about what I look like. But if those physical things were my insecurities I’d be thrilled. What wonderful problems,” SJP says.

Instead of fussing over the way she looks, Sarah is stressing about other, more important things, like her family and her career.

“My insecurities are more substantial than that. I worry first and foremost about my children and their health. My husband, and his. I worry about what work opportunities will come up,” the star explains.

In the same interview, SJP also talks a bit about whether she ever felt the need to go under the knife for plastic surgery or to get Botox to keep up with other female stars who do and whom she might compete with.

She never did, she says.

“There are women who feel that Botox is necessary, but more and more I don’t think it is important for the industry,” Parker stresses.

SJP has always been very open about how she feels about her unconventional looks and, more importantly, about what people say on the topic.

She never considered herself a beauty and, truth be told, she never wanted to be seen as one, either. Always focusing on her family and her career has kept SJP grounded and in touch with reality.

It has also kept her from the plastic surgeon's, as it turns out.
