Sarah Jessica Parker Rocks Ridiculous-Looking Hat

Sarah Jessica Parker is famous for her bold fashion style and the unique choices she sometimes makes, which help her stand out from the crowd. The other day, she rocked a very futuristic-looking hat that did the same for her, but for all the wrong reasons.

Controversial milliner Philip Treacy is famous for his hats and fascinators, some of which have been worn at important functions by the biggest celebrities and most beloved public figures.

At the London premiere of both “SATC” movies, actress Sarah Jessica Parker wore his creations and she caused quite a stir in doing so with the fashion community, because she pulled off impressive outfits.

The other night was the exception, as the Daily Mail also points out.

Now in Australia promoting her latest film, Parker made an appearance on a local television for an interview wearing a very odd-looking Phillip Treacy creation.

Not only was it huge in size but it also covered half her face. Compared to the other pieces the fashionista wore throughout the years, this one was definitely a fail, the British publication opines.

“Those designs seemed relatively normal compared to the one that Parker modeled at the Crown Palladium earlier today,” the Mail writes.

“Wearing a tight-fitted Chanel tweed dress with button detail down the front, the mother-of-three looked chic in a pair of black stilettos – but chose to finish her look with a big statement,” says the tab.

Not only was the hat ridiculous-looking, it also seemed terribly impractical in that it limited her field of vision.

“The black curved headpiece looked more like a satellite dish than a hat as Parker struggled to see her audience as she took to the stage with a microphone. At one point the Failure To Launch star held her arms up in air – perhaps to show the audience that her fashionable piece of art was fitted firmly on her head,” says the Mail.

Then again, this can be a clear case of “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and maybe SJP's look was exactly what she had in mind when she chose the dress and the hat.
