Actress Sarah Jessica Parker, 40, has signed on to star in and produce the drama Spinning Into Butter, according to Variety. Production is set for October 10. The movie will be directed by Mark Brokaw

Parker's new movie is an adaptation of a play written by Rebecca Gilman about a dean of students at a New England college who finds herself at the centre of an investigation for a racially motivated crime.

Apparently, the probe makes her deal with her own feelings about race and her administration's desire to keep a politically correct posture. (jam.canoe.ca)
