Sarah Jessica Parker Expecting Baby Twin Girls, Rep Says

Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick will soon be parents to a pair of beautiful girls, a publicist for the actress confirms for People magazine. The happy event will take place sometime this summer, when a surrogate mother will give birth to twin girls, the rep also says for the same outlet.

The two are “happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is overjoyed.” the rep explains for the magazine. Sarah and Matthew already have a son, James Wilkie, and a beautiful family that has withstood the test of time, being one of the few marriages in Hollywood to last so many years.

Reports from earlier this year had it that Sarah Jessica Parker was seriously considering getting a divorce from Matthew, having grown tired of his many affairs and prolonged absences from the house. The one thing that actually prevented her from filing the papers was the lack of a prenuptial contract, which would have meant that Matthew would get half of her fortune, estimated to be at around $150 million. She was, in other words, scared she would be left “penniless” after the divorce was final, the tabloid media was saying a short while back.

“Sarah’s family were poor when she was a child. She had seven brothers and sisters and she’s often talked about missing out on birthday presents when she was young. It seems she’s freaking out over the thought that Matthew could walk away with an enormous sum of money.” an unnamed but reportedly reliable source told the media. Apparently, shortly after New Year’s, it became clear that for the actress that she could no longer live under the same roof as Matthew, who reportedly cheated on her with an unknown 25-year-old woman.

Nevertheless, reports also had it that she was gearing up for the final confrontation with Matthew by going out to look for a house for herself and her son. None of these rumors was ever confirmed – as a matter of fact, her publicist even denied them on a couple of occasions. What with becoming parents again, it’s most likely that Sarah and Matthew won’t be exposed to this kind of speculation, at least for a while, it has been pointed out.
