Ever since it went back into the Intel motherboard business at the beginning of this year, Sapphire has announced a wide series of solutions and soon the company will update its portfolio with yet another LGA 1155 board based on the mini-ITX form factor.

This new model will be known as the Pure Platinum H67 and just as its name implies is powered by the H67 Express chipset.

While this isn't Intel's most advanced LGA 1155 PCH (that title belongs to the Z68), the controller does feature support for the Sandy Bridge integrated graphics as well as for the Lucid Virtu technology.

The latter can be used for increasing the energy efficiency of the system when a discrete graphics card is installed, as it dynamically switches between the on-chip GPU and the system's dGPU depending on the tasks run.

Speaking of discrete graphics, Sapphire has equipped the Pure Platinum H67 with a PCI Express x16 slot as well as with an additional mini-PCI-E x1 slot that is placed on the back of the motherboard.

The rest of the expansion features include a pair of full-length DDR3 memory sockets, four SATA ports (two SATA 6.0Gbps and two SATA 3.0Gbps), and two USB 3.0 ports found on the rear I/O bracket.

These are accompanied by another four USB 2.0 ports, a Bluetooth transmitter, VGA, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs, a Gigabit LAN network interface as well as by 7.1-channel audio with digital S/PDIF out.

Sapphire ships the Pure Platinum H67 together with their proprietary TriXX software that allows users to optimize performance directly from Windows.

Right now is still unclear when the motherboard will start to make its way into the retail channel of for just how much it will be sold. (via Nordic Hardware)
