The US price seems to still be of $399 though, sadly

The day started with AMD leaving the world gobsmacked by pricing the new Radeon R9 290 at just $399 / €399 instead of $450 / €450. Now, though, Sapphire has done the impossible: made us lament the US price.

I say this because while the US price still is, apparently, of $399, the European price tag was found to be of €349 on at least one retailer, specifically PCComponentes.

And since PCComponentes usually gets its figures right, it's a safe bet to assume that's really what the card is going to sell there for.

Maybe we'll get lucky and Sapphire's move will cause the others to cut their prices too. Or maybe it will bow to the pressure and switch to €399 too.

Anyway, the card also has stickers on the cooler shroud, not just the fan.

The rest is the same: 28nm Hawaii with 2,560 cores, 512-bit GDDR5 interface (4 GB at 5 GHz), 160 TMUs, 64 ROPs.
