For those who want more than the decent graphics mid- to high-end performance capabilities of the regular Radeon HD 5770, the Radeon HD 5770 Vapor-X from Sapphire not only provides a greater headroom for overclocking, but it even boasts a higher quality cooling mechanism, which keeps the card about nine degrees Celsius cooler than other methods. This better cooling solution allowed the manufacturer to set the card's clock frequency slightly higher than the stock 850MHz, reaching 860MHz without affecting its stability and lifespan.

For those interested in a reminder of the card's specifications, the Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 has 1GB GDDR5 memory clocked at an effective frequency of 4800MHz. The memory has a bandwidth of 76.8GB/s. The card interfaces with a PCI-Express 2.1 bus and has 800 processing cores. Furthermore, the 5770 is capable of HDCP and it is one of the few graphics adapters that support DirectX 11 graphics features. The video card also supports OpenGL 3.2 graphics and displays may be connected to it through dual DVI, HDMI and DisplayPorts.

In tune with its support for DirectX 11, the Radeon HD 5770 has built-in ATI graphics technologies, such as the ATI Eyefinity Technology, which allows for three-monitor display setups, the ATI Avivo technology, which allows for smooth HD video playback, and ATI CrossFireX, which enables a compatible motherboard to combine the performance of two identical Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 Vapor-X video cards, for drastically enhanced graphics capabilities.

The Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 Vapor-X will offer possibilities for immersion when playing 3D games by providing the aforementioned clock-speed increase and low-noise output. The Vapor-X technology uses solid electrolyte capacitors and the SAPPHIRE Black Diamond choke, which runs 10% cooler and with 25% more power efficiency than a normal choke. In addition, the high-polymer aluminum capacitors allow for a longer product life.

The card is already available at the rather convenient price of 145 Euro and comes with a two-year warranty.
