Although the Sanyo M1 has been available since last month, it's only now that Sprint and Sanyo have finally decided to announce the availability of the mobile phone.

"Music and entertainment lovers will definitely appreciate the M1 by SANYO," said Danny Bowman, vice president of device marketing and planning for Sprint. "With
one gigabyte of internal memory, this good-looking wireless phone will easily become the only device you need to take your music with you on-the-go."

The phone comes with a series of features that are bound to make your music listening experience better, such as a 1GB internal memory, background music playing mode (that will allow you to listen to music while doing something else with the phone, like web browsing), stereo speakers, stereo headset with mic adapter and nine equalizer settings for fine-tuning.

Sanyo M1 will also offer up to 18 hours of music playing time. Aside from the music-enhancing features, the Sanyo M1 also packs a 2 Megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, PictBridge capabilities, a 2 inch 260k color main display with a QVGA resolution, a 1.3 inch 260k color external display and Bluetooth with stereo headphone support.

The clamshell comes with external music controls for increased usability and can also be used as a 'mass storage device' due to its Mass Storage Mode. It measures 3.6" x 1.9" x 0.9" and weighs 3.8 oz.

Although Sanyo M1 was available on Sprint up until now, it is now officially available and customers can take one home for $349.99 or say yes to a two-year subscriber agreement and get the phone for $199.99.
