So many 'fake' Chinese manufactured phones are being produced every day, that at some point, we might get to see more of these than of "authentic" ones.
Also, the phones that are being imitated the most are Nokia's and Sony Ericsson's products. The list of such clone phones is huge, including the Nokir E828, looking very much like the Nokia N73 or the
Suny Ericssom P999.
The
Nokir E828 is so much like a Nokia handset, both as looks and as name, that at first sight, even the branding on the phone seems to spell Nokia (the font used makes the 'a' resemble an 'r').
This time the ones to be copied are Sony Ericsson. The Chinese product, dubbed Sang Ericsson, looks kind of like a low-cost version of the M600i. Of course, comparing it to others, this phone isn't that much of a rip-off since it doesn't look 100 percent the same. But the name, 'Sang Ericsson' says it all.
There is no info on what features this handset packs, but since it's Chinese, it most likely features a hi-res touchscreen, a dictionary and handwriting recognition. The photo reveals a pretty unappealing device, with a metallic joystick and plastic case.
While phones like this one exist, it's no surprise that Meizu is claiming that MiniOne is an original phone and not copied after the iPhone, because - following Chinese standards - if it doesn't have the same name and it look exactly the same, then it's genuine.
Nevertheless, this Sang Ericsson is most likely much cheaper than Sony Ericsson's M600, so it might be an option for some people who want a more affordable version of the M600. One can assume it's already available, but there's no telling where you can get one.
