14 DAY TRIAL // Earlier this month, Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock got the scare of her life when a man broke into her house while she was in it. He was determined to meet and talk to the star but, instead, he got arrested and was taken into custody.
Bullock was not harmed in any way, having locked herself in a room the moment she realized her home was being broken into.
On a court appearance for the home invader, identified as Joshua Corbett, the DA has revealed more chilling details about his gesture: previously, it was announced that he had one machine gun at his home, which made him even more potentially dangerous.
The DA told the court the other day that Corbett actually had an entire arsenal, not just one machine gun: 7 machine guns and “other weapons as well,” TMZ reports.
“The DA has now charged Corbett with 19 felonies, including 7 counts of possession of a machine gun, 2 counts of possession of an assault weapon and 10 counts of possession of a destructive device – we're told they're red-tipped tracer rounds. He's also been charged with stalking,” the celebrity publication writes.
Corbett pled not guilty to the charges and had his bail set at $2 million (€1.47 million).
Despite the fact that he had an entire arsenal at home, it is being said that he didn’t mean Bullock any harm. “Our law enforcement sources say Corbett was NOT at Bullock's house to burglarize it... he wanted to see her,” TMZ notes.
Corbett has also been served a restraining order, barring him from any kind of contact with the actress.
Just hours before the break-in, Sandra attended Spike TV’s Guys’ Choice Awards 2014, where she was honored with the Decade of Hotness Award. She professed herself humbled to receive this kind of recognition but was wildly amused by it as well.
At the same event, she made sure to deny reports that she and Chris Evans were an item, joking that they’d already gotten married, separated, and were just then in the process of getting a divorce. Sandra and Chris have been friends for some time, but it’s just recently that certain reports started linking them romantically as well.
Many of Sandra’s fans agree that she and the handsome “Captain America” star would have made a lovely pair and that he would have been the perfect man for her, especially after Jesse James, her ex-husband, broke her heart by cheating on her with countless women.
