14 DAY TRIAL // Ever since tattoo model Michelle McGee came forward with her story of an alleged affair with Jesse James that had been going on for about 11 months or so, Sandra Bullock has refused to talk to the press. James himself issued just one statement, saying he was sorry for what had happened, but without explaining just what he was sorry for. Things are about to change very soon, TMZ has learned.
Though nothing concrete in this sense has been announced or leaked to the media, the celebrity gossip website and paparazzi agency says it has it from very reliable sources that the two have lawyered up. Both Sandra and Jesse are seeing divorce attorneys but, as per ongoing reports, he won’t be the one to file for separation. This, of course, leaves room for speculation on how he’d like to save his marriage; nevertheless, only time will tell whether that is truly the case.
“Multiple sources tell TMZ reps for both Sandra Bullock and Jesse James have been interviewing divorce lawyers. We’re told Sandra’s reps have been in touch with several high-end divorce lawyers. Our sources say Lance Spiegel, who handled divorces for Charlie Sheen, Heather Locklear and Michael Jackson, is the frontrunner,” TMZ says. Even if this is not entirely accurate, chances are high there is some truth to this, it’s being said.
“As for Jesse, we’re told his business people have contacted several lawyers as well, but he will not be initiating the divorce. We’re told his reps are asking the attorneys ‘if they’d be interested in taking the case’ if Sandra files. As for whether a divorce petition will be filed, one source simply said, ‘Something’s happening’,” the same media outlet goes on to say. If Sandra decides to file for divorce, it’ll probably happen in the following days, word in the blogosphere also says.
At this point in time, it’s quite a while that Sandra has not been seen in public, in the sense of having her picture snapped by the paparazzi. She was last seen only days before the infidelity scandal broke in the media. Jesse James, on the other hand, seems to go on with his life as before, running errands, dropping his kids to school, stopping by his garage – and still wearing his wedding ring.
