We've seen many sorts of product concepts, most of which never made it past the stage of ideas and drawings, but Sanden's vending machine might just become an actual product. There are quite a few things that Sanden
thinks vending machines could benefit from.
The 65-inch touchscreen stands out the most, understandably enough, and should be able to both display info and animations, in addition to letting users select what products they want.
Also, Sanden thinks Intel's Audience Impression Metrics (AIM) facial recognition systems would help, with targeted advertisements and such.
The vending machine possesses a public safety mode too, which displays, among other things, evacuation routes during emergencies.
In other words, Sanden wants to combine the idea of a vending machine with those of a large TV/commercial LCD and a safety assistant.
