SandForce is quite well-known for manufacturing SSD controllers that grant solid-state drives ultra-fast data transfer rates, and it seems that the company is quite keen to make sure that end-products featuring its components arrive faster on the market, since it's just announced the development of the SandForce Trusted program, meant to support companies involved in SSD manufacture.

As SandForce reveals, this new program is meant to let customers know just what companies are providing equipment, tools, and services compatible with SandForce SSD Processors, thus enabling faster development times and an enhanced level of support for SSD manufacturers and OEMs working on SandForce-based solutions.

Each company that will become a part of this program right from the start (including here Calypso Systems, Granite River Labs, LeCroy, OakGate Technology, Serial Cables, SerialTek and ULINK Technology) will ensure the fact that their products and/or services deliver the required level of support for SandForce – based products, providing a very fast resolution time should any problems pertaining to this technology appear.

“We know that time-to-market is critical in the fast-moving computing world, especially in the quickly expanding SSD market. That is why we created this highly organized ‘Approved Vendor List’ to enable our customers to get the highest level of support during their product design and production phases,” said Kent Smith, senior director of Product Marketing for SandForce.

“Building on the overwhelming success of the SandForce Driven program that easily identifies SandForce-based solutions to end users, this new program identifies companies that are dedicated to supporting the successful and rapid proliferation of SandForce products and technology market-wide,” the company's rep concluded.

SandForce's initiative is, indeed, quite a commendable one, and all we can hope right now is that even more of the company's manufacturing partners will decide to join the program, thus accelerating the market availability for various SSD-based solutions.
