Revenues went up both on-year and on quarter, surprisingly enough

With the way consumer technology has been selling, or rather hasn't, I'd have expected more companies to report bad second quarters by now.

Instead, Intel has made billions upon billions again (although it did say it was a weaker showing than usual) and, now, SanDisk has reported profits and a revenue increase.

SanDisk's revenue grew 10% sequentially, and 43% year-over-year, showing the rising demand for NAND Flash memory.

The full sum was of $1.48 billion / €1.13 billion, while the profit was of $262 million / €200 million, a huge jump from last year's $13 million / €9.92 million.

Clearly, solid-state drives and memory cards have been selling better than ever, as have USB flash drive units. Now we just have to wait and see if this will hold up throughout the rest of the year.
