I thought UHS-I specifications were borderline overkill for memory cards, but SanDisk decided to prove me wrong, and anyone else who felt like I did.
I imagine that Silicon Power will be quite cross with the company for launching UHS-II cards right as it proudly announced the Superior UHS-I series.
Considering that UHS-I cards can manage 95 MB/s and 45 MB/s read/write, that's quite an accomplishment.
Anyway, SanDisk has officially released the Extreme PRO SD UHS-II, which comes in 64 GB capacity and has a read speed of 280 MB/s, and a writing speed of 240 MB/s.
Even 4K video recording will prove little challenge for the thing, although the 64 GB will probably fill pretty fast. Still, 180 minutes of 4096 x 2160 pixels video is decent enough. Enough to last you through a wedding and the ensuing reception anyway.
