Texas-based fabless processor and GPU design company AMD has just announced, on its official website, that it was chosen by San Francisco Giants as the team’s main multi-year technology partner.

The Major League Baseball’s Giants team based in San Francisco has just installed 66 new AMD computer systems powered by AMD’s Fusion APUs.

The systems are made by HP and they are specifically HP TouchSmart 320m All-In-One (AIO) touchscreen personal computers.

This should help any player with rough hands that are unfitted for keyboard typing, and it will also make the user interaction much similar to Apple’s iPad that’s surely popular among the players.

The systems are installed inside AT&T Park and the Giants also plan to install AMD Opteron-based servers in their data centers.
