Samurai Jack: The Shadow of Aku Codes and Secrets (GameCube)

- Cartoon Network's cartoon hit becomes a gaming title

By: Alexandru Stanescu, Editor, Gaming Reviews (Consoles)

Samurai Jack: The Shadow of Aku is a video game of the action-adventure genre released in 2004 by Adrenium Games / Amaze Entertainment. The game is based on the Samurai Jack series. Samurai Jack takes place in a world where science has developed far beyond what we have available to us today and in some ways resembles magic. Bounty hunters, aliens and robots are plentiful and always ready for a fight.

Above all this stands Aku, which is obvious, as the shape of most buildings in urban settings resemble the shape of his head. Stories take place in beautiful wilderness and cities which in stark contrast are extremely rigid. Wherever Jack ventures though, the simple, minimalistic art style that the show is known for allows the viewer to use their imagination to fill in the blanks, often resembling Chinese paintings.

Secrets

Get Jack to Wear the Straw Hat
Take Jack to the forest village area. Now leave the controller alone for a few minutes; don't touch any buttons. After a short time Jack will kneel down, pick some grass and make himself a straw hat. This happens to be the same hat that Jack wears in the actual cartoon. Also, you can fight while wearing the hat until you sustain damage.

Giant Chicken Attack
When you enter the first town of the game there are chickens running around on the ground. Simply chase one of them and slash it with your sword. It will turn into a Giant Chicken and start attacking you.

Here's my personal favorite episode of this great cartoon saga. You should check it out if you liked the game:
