Wave 2 Pro to make an appearance too

South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is reportedly gearing up to unveil a bunch of new handsets as soon as tomorrow, June 15, the day when CommunicAsia 2010 kicks off. Among the rumored devices, we can count the Wave 2 and Wave 2 Pro, both powered by the company's bada operating system, along with the Omnia Pro 4, which should arrive with Microsoft's Windows Mobile platform on board.

According to a recent article on Samsung Hub, the mobile phone maker has already confirmed plans to bring the aforementioned devices to the table. While no exact details on the specifications lists of the three devices are known for the time being, it seems that Wave 2 and Wave 2 Pro should boast similar specs, apart from a physical keyboard that we're to expect for the Pro version to include. It's a common fact that handset vendors tend to launch such versions of their devices, so it does not come too much as a surprise that Samsung too is making a similar move.

Unfortunately, no other information on the three phones emerged, and no details of the markets Samsung plans to make them available on were made public either. Moreover, it also remains to be seen whether the new Wave handsets will be spec'd similarly with the existing bada-based Wave, or they should bring some more goodies into the mix. Another thing that remains to be unveiled is the Windows Mobile version the said Omnia Pro 4 would be powered by.

Until specific info on Wave 2, Wave 2 Pro and Omnia Pro 4 emerge, we should take a look at some new Android-based devices from Samsung, which can be seen in the photos that Samsung Hub got hold of. One of them seems to be the I5500, while the other might turn out to be the previously unveiled Samsung Beam, or a very similar device. Keep an eye on this space for more info on the matter.
