South Korean handset maker Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled plans to launch a new Exynos processor for mobile phones as soon as the next week, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

No specific info on what new CPU will be announced at the event has been provided, but chances are that the company is finally ready to take the wraps off its first 64-bit processor.

“Continuing our market-leading innovation and leadership, we bring you our latest innovations. Please stay tuned,” Samsung announced on Twitter.

The message was accompanied by the image embedded above, which mentions Exynos Infinity, believed to be the name of said new mobile chip.

The upcoming processor should be included in the next Galaxy S devices out there, though it’s uncertain whether Galaxy S5 will sport it or not.
