With IFA set to kick off as soon as next week, various mobile phone makers around the world are preparing to make new devices official, and Samsung is one of them.

The company already teased us with its plans for IFA, and has released a new video that makes the same thing.

However, unlike the first clip, the new one clearly points at the launch of a new handset at the conference.

During a Samsung Unpacked event set for September 1st, the leading handset vendor is expected to launch a new smartphone, one that might be the largest such device in the world.

Some of the latest rumors on the matter suggested that the South Korean handset vendor might be set to launch a handset boasting a large, 5.3-inch touchscreen display next week, and chances are that this might indeed happen.

If not, we're to expect a new smartphone that would boast either a large display, most probably larger than the 4.3-inch screen on Galaxy S II, or high-end hardware specifications and capabilities.

Samsung promises 'something big' for the said event, and all that remains to be seen from now on is what exactly the smartphone might be all about.

Based on what can be seen in the video below, which shows users holding a glowing device to their ears, there is a great chance that the event is indeed focused on a new handset, although some suggest that a new tablet PC might also emerge.

Last week, we had the chance to learn a few more details on Samsung's possible plans for the remainder of the year, courtesy of a leaked roadmap from the company which unveiled a number of no less than 9 new Android handsets headed for the market.

Some of them were said to sport large, over 4.5-inch screens, though a P6200 tablet featuring a 7-inch display was also among them, and chances are that one of these would be the main attraction at Samsung's Unpacked event on September 1st.
