The two devices feature built-in projectors

Samsung announced recently that two of its most interesting new devices, namely the Samsung MPB200 micro-projector and the Samsung i7410 projector-phone, would soon become available on the market. While up until now the two products were more like concepts, now it seems that it won't be too long before we'll be able to see them become reality.

According to the Korean mobile phone maker, the Samsung MBP200 micro-projector is expected to start shipping as soon as May this year, while featuring a price tag of 499 Euros. At the same time, the Samsung i7410 projector-phone will become available in summer, and its price is to be announced at a later date, UnwiredView reports.

The Samsung MBP200 should hit the market with a 2.2-inch QVGA LCD screen able to provide a 320 x 240 resolution, while also being capable of projecting images at a 480 x 320 resolution. In addition, the device will also sport a 3.5 mm Standard Stereo Earphone Jack, as well as a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 16 GB of additional storage space.

The handset will also pack File viewer (Adobe PDF, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, Text), picture viewer (JPEG, GIF, Animated GIF, MBP), music player (MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC, WAV) and video player (Video CODEC: DivX, Xvid, WMV9 Simple Profile, MPEG-2, MPEG-4; Audio CODEC: MP3, AAC, WMA), and will measure 107.3 x 48.8 x 19 mm, while weighing 160 g.

The Samsung i7410 includes a wide range of nice features too, aside from the built-in projector that can allow for image sizes ranging from 5 to 50”, at a QVGA 480 x 320 pixel resolution. Its specification list includes tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900) and UMTS 2100 connectivity, a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display able to deliver a 240×400 resolution, as well as a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash.

In addition, the phone will also include FM Radio, 150 MB of internal memory complemented by a microSDHC memory card slot with support for up to 16GB of additional storage space, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and USB 2.0 connectivity. The device measures 111.7×56.7×17.2 mm, while including a 1440 mAh battery.
