South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is expected to showcase a 4.99-inch full HD AMOLED screen at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2013, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

Apparently, the company is indeed ready to have the 1080p panels entering production in the first quarter of the next year, and will most probably use them in future devices.

In fact, some of the previous rumors already suggested that the company might launch a Galaxy S III successor in early 2013, and that it would sport such a screen.

The panel comes with a pixel density of around 441 pixel per inch, which would make it one of the best available for mobile devices.

Rumor has it that the company will also start mass producing flexible displays next year.

For the time being, however, no official confirmation on the matter has been provided.
