South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is getting ready for the launch of new smartphones in India next week, and has already sent out invites for a press event held in this regard.

The company notes that “the newest Galaxy” devices are set to be officially launched at the event, but hasn’t provided specific details on the matter as of now.

According to androidos.in, however, the company might be planning the release of either Galaxy Grand or Galaxy S III mini on the local market, based on previous rumors on the matter.

Both of these devices are part of the company’s mid-range family of handsets, and might prove appealing options for users in the country. Both Galaxy Grand or Galaxy S III mini run under Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system at the moment.
