According to the latest news on the Web, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is getting ready to release yet another smartphone on the market, the Samsung i329. Moreover, it seems that the new device is expected to become available for purchase in China, powered by Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system.

The new Samsung smartphone might come to the Chinese market at the same time as the new CDMA2000 1x EV-DO Rev.0 service that China Unicom already announced it would release. According to UnwiredView, the smartphone might be launched by China Telecom in the end, due to the fact that China Unicom transferred its CDMA business to this carrier.

One way or the other, mobile phone users in China will soon have the opportunity to enjoy yet another Windows Mobile-powered handset from Samsung, following the previous release of SGH-i688. Unlike the upcoming Samsung i329 device, the older SGH-i688 came to the market with support for China's TD-SCDMA network.

As for what the new Windows Mobile-based i329 has to offer, we can count a 3-inch display that features full touch capabilities, along with support for a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. The mobile phone maker packed the smartphone with its already popular TouchWiz user interface, and enabled it to provide 512MB of internal memory, coupled with a microSD memory card slot that offers support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The specification list of Samsung i329 also shows that it comes with a Qualcomm QSC6975 chipset. Unfortunately, it seems that there are no further details on the new handset for the time being, such as its price or other capabilities. However, given the fact that it is a CDMA smartphone, the device might very well become available through carriers in other countries too. Stay tuned to learn more on this.
