South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is reportedly planning the launch of a new, exclusive application for its Android users, and might release it alongside the upcoming Galaxy S5 smartphone, it seems.

Allegedly called Life Times, the upcoming software is expected to prove some sort of a diary, collecting info from apps and events.

According to SamMobile, the application will then create a log, so that users could keep track of their most recent doings.

The new application should prove somehow similar with the Story Album app that Samsung already has on its devices, though with a great deal of new features packed inside.

As the news site notes, the software could prove a great option for many users, especially to those who travel a lot, as it will put data from call logs, photos, messages, social networks and the like in a single place, for easier access.

A series of screenshots with the Samsung Life Times applications are also available, allowing users to make a better idea of what the handset vendor is preparing for them.

These images unveil the fact that Samsung would adopt for it a design that falls in line with the rules that Google has set for the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

Said screenshots come from the firmware of a Samsung smartphone featuring model number SM-G900H. The handset has been rumored before to be a version of the upcoming Galaxy S5, though it remains to be seen whether this will pan out or not.

Based on previous reports on Samsung’s plans for the said flagship device, we should be able to learn more on the new app sometime in March, unless the South Korean vendor changes its mind and unveils Galaxy S5 sooner.

In the meantime, take the info above with a grain of salt, as things might turn out differently in the end, but stay tuned for additional details on the matter.
