South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is reportedly gearing up for the launch of a third tablet in the Galaxy Tab series, and should make it official this fall in Berlin, at the IFA trade show.

Furthermore, the company is also said to plan announcing the next Galaxy Note phablet at the event, and could name it Galaxy Note III, in line with its previous naming scheme.

No specific info on the hardware specifications of these devices has been provided as of now, but these details could emerge in the following months.

However, the company is said to plan on ending support for the original Galaxy Tab slate, though it would still deliver the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean platform to the Galaxy Tab 2 tablet, as SamMobile notes in a recent article.
