Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus smartphone, the latest Google phone out there, is expected to start appearing in various marketing materials in Australia in the coming weeks. A recent article on Ausdroid claims that this will happen starting with mid-January 2012.

Basically, we should be seeing the Galaxy Nexus featured in TV ads and displayed on billboards starting next week. Samsung’s advertising campaign will reach all media, a leaked document reportedly shows.

However, it appears that nothing has been officially confirmed on the matter for the time being, and it remains to be seen whether the rumor will indeed pan out or not.

The Galaxy Nexus smartphone was unveiled in November with the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system on board. The handset already landed on shelves in Australia and was made available via various local carriers.
