South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has been rumored for quite a while now to plan the launch of a new device in its popular Galaxy Note series before the end of this year, and some more info on the handset has emerged.

Supposedly dubbed Galaxy Note III, the handset is already expected to sport better hardware when compared to the previous handsets in the series, but it seems that Samsung might have bigger plans with it.

According to a recent post on SamMobile, the company is keeping an eye on the successor of HTC One, and it might have decided to improve the design quality of the Galaxy Note III, so as to ensure that it is successful.

Apparently, these improvements would involve a switch from the design used in Galaxy S4, although specific info on the matter hasn’t been provided as of now.

Chances are that Samsung won’t be building the upcoming Galaxy Note III smartphone using the same plastic casing as with Galaxy S4 (which has already received negative reactions from some people).

When unveiling the Galaxy S4, Samsung stressed on the software capabilities of the device, but it seems that it wants to back this with a great outer design as well, so as to make sure that it sells far more Galaxy Note III units than the amount of sold Note II devices.

While specific info on Samsung’s plans for the handset has yet to emerge, we can now have a look at some of the rumored hardware specs for it, which include a 6-inch full HD touchscreen, and an Exynos 5 Octa processor.

The mobile phone is also said to be capable of delivering LTE connectivity, and to pack a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, while running under the next flavor of Android. It should also sport some more software features when compared to the Galaxy S4, it seems.
