Samsung t609 Is Now Available

T-Mobile USA has launched another mid-range handset from Samsung, the clamshell phone t609.

The phone features two screens: a main TFT display supporting a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels in 262k colors and a secondary external display, which can show a 96 x 64 pixel resolution.

T609 has a storage space of 32 MB internal memory which can be extended via TransFlash memory cards.

For the multimedia part the phone offers a 1.3 megapixel camera
that can be used for video capture and an MP3 player for the playback of audio files. The handset includes a streaming media player.

T609 is a quad-band (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) phone and it supports EDGE for high-speed data transfer and Bluetooth connectivity. Other features include e-mail and voice dialing.

The handset is available from T-Mobile for $150 after discounts.
