At this year's Sochi Winter Olympics, Samsung introduced the world to a pavilion made from as many as 16 recycled shipping containers found scattered across Russia.

As noticeable in the picture above, these containers were all stacked on top of one another much like bricks, and the result was quite pleasant to look at.

More so given the fact that, thanks to extensive refurbishment, no signs of rust or dents were visible.

According to Inhabitat, the containers that Samsung's Winter Olympics pavilion was made of all featured windows on their sides. This made it possible for them to harvest as much natural light as possible.

On the inside, visitors were greeted by tables and a display of Samsung products, the same source details.

What's interesting is that, as if making a pavilion out of recycled shipping containers were not green enough, Samsung is now thinking about donating its Sochi Winter Olympics pavilion.

What's more, word has it that the pavilion is to be offered to a local educational facility. This means that, instead of being recycled just once, the shipping containers are to be found yet another use for.

I don't know about you, but I for one think Samsung's decision to donate the pavilion is a most inspired one. What do you think? Let me know in the comments section below.
