Samsung's Supplier Not Guilty of Child Labor After All

Last week, it was suggested that one of Samsung's devices suppliers was employing child labor, among other things.

And by other things, we mean to say that China Labor Watch suspected HEG Electronics Co. Ltd. of having set the wages too low and demanding excessive working hours.

The government officials have now released a statement in which they claim not to have found evidence of any of the above.

Good thing too. With the way things are going in San Jose, California, Samsung really didn't need bad publicity on this front as well.

Granted, HEG isn't actually part of Samsung, just a Chinese assembler of mobile phones, DVD, MP3 players, etc. Still, with how unforgiving the media seems to be, it would have damaged Samsung's image regardless.
