Back at IFA 2011, quite a few products were introduced, including some Samsung cameras, one of which has now made its way to the Indian market.

Samsung had many things on show at the 2011 edition of the IFA trade show, like the NX200 and MV800 Cameras.

As it happens, one of these cameras is finally starting to sell, even if only in one country's market.

More specifically, the company issued a press release in which it reveals that the MV800 is making its way to Indian stores.

There, it will start to ship shortly, if it hasn't already, for the price of 15.990 Indian rupees, a sum which, according to exchange rates, is equivalent to $319.64 and 231.77 Euro.

The camera itself stands out through the use of the MultiView technology, which lets one set the 3-inch Wide Flip-out MultiView Touch Display at multiple angles from the item's main body.

This makes it easy to snap photos from pretty much any angle, though this is hardly the only asset that Samsung is betting on.

The company also made sure to throw in Schneider-KREUZNACH lens, with up to 5X optical zoom, as well as support for 3D still image and panorama, plus picture-in-picture.

Of course, no camera can operate without an image sensor, and the one Samsung chose is no slouch, being capable of pictures in up to 16.1 megapixel resolution.

Other specifications include ISO sensitivity of up to 3,200, 26mm wide-angle capability and everything needed for the recoding of HD videos.

Finally, for the sake of convenience, owners can attach the camera to an HDTV and watch the photos and video on that big screen without needing to copy the files to a PC or media player first.

““Our aim is to continually be at the forefront of digital camera innovation and the breakthrough proposition offered by the Wide Flip-out Display in the Samsung MultiView MV800 is a manifestation of this goal,” said Mr. Raj Kumar Rishi, vice president – Audio Video Business Samsung India.

“The Samsung camera’s unique ability to capture images from any angle, with its stylish and ultra-slim design demonstrates unparalleled Samsung innovation which we believe will appeal to every photographer and establish a new benchmark for the industry.”
