Samsung has already deployed Android 5.0 Lollipop update to many of its high-end smartphones. Almost all unlocked versions of its flagship smartphones from two years ago and up until today have already been upgraded.

There are some carriers that are still testing Android 5.0 Lollipop for smartphones like Galaxy S4 or Galaxy Note 3, but the good news is that these updates will eventually be released.

Since Samsung is almost over with its high-end smartphones, it would make sense to start turning its attention to some of its mid-range devices that haven't gotten the same treatment yet.

However, that is about to change pretty soon, as rumor has it that Samsung is trying to bring as many of its smartphones as possible to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Among the devices that seem to have been confirmed to receive the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update in the coming months are the Samsung Core Prime and Samsung Grand Prime.

The list contains six smartphones, but more may be added in the coming weeks

The folks over at YouMobile have it from source close to the matter that several mid-range Samsung smartphones will be getting Lollipop in the not-so-distant future.

The list comprises six smartphones, but others may be added as Samsung finishes work on these devices. We have already mentioned two of the smartphones listed, so here are the rest: Samsung Galaxy Mega 2, Samsung Galaxy K zoom, Samsung Galaxy S5 mini, and Samsung Galaxy S mini duos.

Unfortunately, there's no timeframe for the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop update for these six smartphones, so we can only wait for more info to emerge in the coming weeks.

The good news is that Lollipop updates are already in the works for these smartphones, but we expect details about other Samsung devices that should be upgraded, so stay tuned.
