As you might well know, at CES 2014 Samsung unveiled its line of premium tablets, including the Galaxy TabPRO series (with 8.4-, 10.1- and 12.2-inch TFT LCD screens) and the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2.

As impressive as these new tablets were, for some they proved to be a disappointment, because they were not the long-awaited AMOLED tablets that have been in the rumor mill for a while.

After not seeing any AMOLED tablets come out of Samsung at CES 2014 or at MWC 2014, some lost hope the Korean tech giant will be launching such a product in the near future.

But the tablet made a come-back in the rumors lately, when it was spotted in a UAProf listing, revealing it will come with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution and in Wi-Fi, 3G and LTE versions. Since then, the tablet was confirmed as being a reality, but we still didn’t have a date for when the AMOLED slate will be available for grabs in the real world.

A new piece of information, surfaced in the Hungarian press (via Tech2) allows us to take a sneak peek into Samsung’s plans for the future. According to the report, the news comes from official sources, so it should be taken as accurate.

The info says Samsung is planning to introduce a new Galaxy Tab 8.4-inch version equipped with a special feat. The difference between the model launched at CES 2014 is that we’re not going to be dealing with a TFT LCD display, but with a Super AMOLED one.

So could this be the SM-T805 model that has been leaked before? Just a few days ago, we saw the tablet getting its Bluetooth SIG certification, so we speculated the slate’s launch might be just around the corner.

But in Hungary, Samsung seems to have a timeline planned, so according to the sources familiar with the matter, the Galaxy TabPRO 8.4 with AMOLED will making an appearance in June.

At this point, we can speculate versions of the 10.1-inch and 12.2-inch Galaxy TabPRO with AMOLED screens might be made available by the Korean tech giant.

We have been hearing word come out of Asia, placing the kick-start of the AMOLED panel mass production somewhere in February-March. So basically, the process should be underway and a few months might be all it takes for Samsung to prep things ahead of the official launch.
