One of the Android-based mobile phone that would bring LTE connectivity to Verizon's customers during the ongoing year would come from Samsung, and has been already announced officially at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, as the Samsung 4G LTE smartphone.

Although it does not seem to have an official name as of yet, the smartphone still comes with very impressive features, and should prove a great options for users on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network.

The upcoming device is powered by Google's Android operating system, packs a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen display, and a powerful 1GHz application processor for great performance levels.

The new smartphone also comes with Google Mobile services, including Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, and YouTube, as well as with a HTML5 Web browser, and with support for a wide range of applications available for download via the Android Market.

The specification list of the new device also includes an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with LED flash, and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera for video calling.

“Messaging is made simple on the Samsung 4G LTE smartphone with a virtual QWERTY keyboard equipped with Swype technology. Additionally, the Samsung 4G LTE smartphone will come preloaded with popular LTE-specific applications,” Verizon announced.

The new 4G LTE smartphone comes with access to the Samsung Media Hub, when users would find various contents to purchase and download on their devices (including premium movies and TV episodes).

At the same time, handset would sport Samsung’s Social Hub (with messaging, contacts and calendar sync integration), through which users can stay connected with friends and family at all times, via messaging, social networking, email and more.
