This week, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung electronics should make official its first smartphone with a curved, flexible display, supposedly called Galaxy Round.

Apparently, Samsung will pack the handset with a plastic screen substrate, which would make it more durable when compared to those featuring a glass substrate.

Furthermore, the smartphone is expected to prove cheaper to produce, at least this is what info coming from Asiae.co.kr suggests. However, specific info on the device’s price tag has yet to emerge.

Chances are that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Round in limited quantities, supposedly with a high cost attached to it.

No official info on the smartphone’s specs has been provided as of now, but rumor has it that it will pack about the same hardware as the Galaxy Note 3, Phone Arena notes. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
