Samsung’s bada platform for smartphones is still strong on the market. Unfortunately, while the growth of the platform was great since its launch, it wasn’t as impressive as Android.

Eldar Murtazin thinks that Samsung is tempted to cut short any further development of bada smartphones. Moreover, the Murtazin claims that Samsung won’t openly recognize it doesn’t plan to release any other bada devices in the future.

Instead Samsung will continue to support bada end users and devs until the platform degrades itself and finally reaches “end of life” status, which is estimated for next year. Obviously, all resources will be gradually reassigned to other projects.

Given the fact that we don’t have anything reliable on this yet, these speculations are to be taken with a grain of salt, at least until we get more evidence. Check out Murtazin’s huge article here (translated).
