Bigger than most windows, it will go up for sale around the winter holidays

The new, large, high-end liquid crystal display we are going to cover here won't be up for sale any time soon, but that didn't stop Samsung from teasing the world with a preview.

The folks over at Slashgear were able to score a hands-on experience with a certain LCD panel called 75ES9000.

The company decided it was worth it to carry one model from Korea all the way to London, where it showed it off for all visitors to see.

As one might be able to guess, the native resolution is 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, or Full HD as it is otherwise known among the world's populace.

Considering the diagonal of 75 inches, that makes it one of the largest panels out there and gives it an advantage over the company's OLED screens, which are “limited” to 55 inches for now.

On that note, Samsung pulled all the stops and made sure the TV has all the Smart TV capabilities in its portfolio.

Its hardware lets it store and run apps like Netflix, BBC Sport, BBC iPlayer, stream video from the Internet, etc.

In fact, the 75ES9000 has even a pop-up webcam that can come out of the top edge of the bezel. It will allow for video calls, face recognition and gesture control.

Finally, Samsung tossed in onboard Wi-Fi, for wireless link to speaker systems, media playback sources and even smartphones.

Unfortunately, the brightness, contrast ratio, FPS and other performance numbers were left unspecified, but we aren't surprised by that. After all, Samsung is not even close to the release date.

Shipments will begin at some point during the holiday shopping season, which is late during the fourth quarter. The price may or may not be revealed before that time comes (it will surely be in the thousands of dollars).
